This year our summer travels took us to Hilton Head for a whole family get together vacation.  That means my parents, aunt, me and my hubby, my two daughters, my son and daughter in law and my two grandsons, my sister and her husband and her daughter, whew…14 people all in one house!!  And what a large house we had too. It was beautiful.  The location turned out perfect for not only the little ones but the older ones too as it was just steps from the beach. And for me it’s all about the beach!

It was my first time in Hilton Head and I wish I could have been there for two weeks instead on the one. Biggest reason was that it took me almost a week to get my bearings and find out where everything was and then by that time it was time to go home.

It was great to have some time to relax and sketch the local scenery, which is one of my favorite things to do when I’m traveling.

My other favorite activity is to check out the local galleries. My daughter and I found a wonderful gallery, Picture This Gallery and owner Mira Scott.  Love talking to the locals and Mira had the best suggestions for restaurants in the area! You’ll have to check out this gallery next time your in Hilton Head.

Do you have any plans left for the summer?

I have one more summer adventure….. coming soon!
