Starting to bloom…

Starting to bloom…

“Waterlily in Bloom” watercolor © sue grilli

Inspiration can be “sparked” at any time, and sometimes when you least expect it. I find that when I keep my eyes and senses open, then images, patterns and ideas flow much easier.

The inspiration for this painting came from a fellow blogger, Nancy Lennon. Nancy posted some great photos on her blog,  and I asked permission to use one as inspiration for a painting.

I loved how the light sparkled on the waterlily and then reflected on the water.

My goal was to capture that freshness.  Enjoy!

Till next time…. be creative!

    Dear ♥Sue,
Love the whole look and feel of your blog and post………it’s like stopping to have a cup of tea with a friend. Such a sense of comforting and softness and beauty……
Love the texture of the page and the font in the style of it being printed…the moving background colour….and there’s definitely a sense of freshness…..
And as for this actual post ♥Sue –
The water lily is just delightful – like you say – “I am constantly amazed as the paint and water mingle together on the paper to produce vibrant colors”
There seems like there is much “starting to bloom…..”
Your creativity has inspired me. Thank you. ♥LOVE Susie

Susie, I wish you were here to have a cup of tea with! One of my favorite ways to relax. Wouldn’t it be lovely to actually get to meet up with some of the wonderful creative friends we have made online. By the way, I met your daughter Amy online in a group that Jessica Swift started. That was a surprise. Oh and I have to ask how you add those darling heart icons in your posts?
