Here are a few tips to get you started….
First – take 2 -3 photos of your home, one of which should be a straight on photo. Try to get the whole house in the photo.
Take your photos either early morning or later in the afternoon. The shadows at those times of day are much more interesting than the bright light during the middle of the day.
Once you have a few photos you are happy with you can email them to me directly at email@example.com.
I will reply to you that I have received them and we can chat about the time frame in order to complete your home illustration. The usual turn around time is 2-3 weeks depending on any orders ahead of yours. I want to give each painting the love and attention it deserves. During the holiday season this can be longer so please order early.
We can also chat about any details that you may want or not want in your painting.
Once your painting is complete I will contact you and prepare the painting for shipping. All paintings come matted so that they are ready to be placed in a standard frame. I ship my paintings Priority Mail by USPS and I can send the tracking number to you as well.
I would love to work with you to create this special memory for you. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process.
Here are some kind words from clients…
Stunning!! Sue created an absolutely beautiful & accurate portrait of my childhood home. The care and precision that went into this painting is remarkable. Sue was an absolute joy to work with. Extremely kind, genuine, helpful & fast! If you’re looking for a thoughtful and personal item, look no further. Thank you so much!
The PERFECT one year wedding anniversary gift for my husband!!! Thank you!
I gave this watercolor of our old home to my husband for Christmas. It was a huge hit! Thank you, I will certainly be giving these as gifts in the future!
This is now the second house painting that Sue has created for me and it is another master piece. Sue has a gift for capturing the most memorable aspects of a series of home photos and capturing it in a beautiful way. We now have a wall dedicated to her and I’m wondering how far back I’ll go back in time for paintings of our prior homes. Sue is great to work with, easy to communicate with remotely and very good at providing status updates. My only hesitation in recommending her is that your project may delay her work on my next painting : )
